TATA IPL 2026: Gujarat Titans vs SunRisers Hyderabad, Match 56 - Preview

SunRisers Hyderabad will travel to Ahmedabad next to take on Gujarat Titans in Match 56 of TATA IPL 2026.
With six wins in our last seven matches, momentum is well and truly on our side in our pursuit of a spot in the Playoffs. A comprehensive all-round performance in our previous game against Punjab Kings has only added to the side’s confidence.
All the five batters who came out to bat put on a terrific show against PBKS, driving us to 235/4 in 20 overs. After a blistering opening partnership between Abhishek Sharma and Travis Head, Ishan Kishan and Heinrich Klaasen completed half-centuries to keep the momentum in the middle overs. Nitish Kumar Reddy produced a perfect finish to set up a daunting target.
Early wickets ensured we had firm control over the result straight away. Pat, Nitish and Eshan Malinga delivered big blows in the powerplay while Shivang Kumar joined the party immediately after. We got a 33-run win in our penultimate home game and now we prepare for two crucial away games.
It has been a season to remember for our batting department, with runs coming from multiple sources at crucial moments. Heinrich Klaasen, Abhishek Sharma and Ishan Kishan have all scored in excess of 400 runs, while the likes of Travis Head and Nitish Kumar Reddy have made vital contributions.
We also have a varied bowling attack capable of making an impact. Pat Cummins’ return has instantly boosted the team’s morale, while Eshan Malinga has emerged as a genuine point-of-difference option across various phases of the game. Sakib Hussain and Praful Hinge have shown great promise too. Youngsters like Shivang Kumar and Salil Arora have also made their mark, adding much-needed depth to the side.
We currently have 14 points from 11 matches, and another victory will take us within touching distance of the top four.
