TATA IPL 2026: SunRisers Hyderabad vs Kolkata Knight Riders, Match 45 - Preview

After two triumphant away matches against Rajasthan Royals and Mumbai Indians, SunRisers Hyderabad are back at Uppal for their 10th match of the season. We will be facing Kolkata Knight Riders on Sunday in a bid to extend our winning run.
We are well positioned in the points table, with six wins in nine matches, and a spot in the top four is within touching distance from here on.
In the last two matches, SRH chased big totals without breaking a sweat, courtesy of our power-packed batting line-up. We also emerged victorious in our last three home matches, where we defeated Rajasthan Royals, Chennai Super Kings and Delhi Capitals.
Against Mumbai Indians, a huge target was set for us to secure those two points, but Travis Head provided a breathtaking start in the powerplay in the company of Abhishek Sharma. The duo registered yet another 100-run partnership at lightning pace, setting the platform for our middle order to take over.
Heinrich Klaasen, who has registered only one score under 30 this whole season (29 vs RR), was once again at the forefront. Coming into the middle after a few quick wickets, Klaasen played some astonishing shots — probably some of the best he has played this season — to ensure the required rate never crept beyond control.
Nitish Kumar Reddy and Heinrich Klaasen stitched together 80 runs for the fourth wicket and took the side closer to the finish line. Salil Arora delivered the finishing touches with his explosive hitting, finishing with 30 off just 10 balls. Klaasen, who remained unbeaten on 65 off 30 balls, was named Player of the Match.
With five consecutive wins on the trot, momentum is well and truly in our favour heading into our 10th match of the season.
