TATA IPL 2026: Rajasthan Royals vs SunRisers Hyderabad, Match 36 - Preview

After three successive wins, SunRisers Hyderabad will be heading to Jaipur to face Rajasthan Royals at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium on Saturday.
We made the most of a crucial home leg of fixtures, where we faced Rajasthan Royals, Chennai Super Kings, and Delhi Capitals in successive matches, winning all three. The bowling unit stepped up with big performances in each of these games, while the batters have continued their dominant run.
SunRisers Hyderabad are synonymous with destructive batting in the TATA IPL, and two of our star batters are leading the way. Abhishek Sharma and Heinrich Klaasen currently occupy the top two spots in the Orange Cap race. Ishan Kishan, Travis Head, and Nitish Kumar Reddy have also been among the runs so far this season.
Abhishek Sharma’s century in the previous match once again left the cricketing world spellbound. He registered his second-highest IPL score, which is also the second-best score by an Indian in the tournament. The highest score, too, belongs to him.
The bowling department has stepped up over the last three matches, with impressive performances coming from nearly everyone who took the field. While Eshan Malinga picked up four wickets and Harsh Dubey claimed three, Dilshan Madushanka, who made his SRH debut against Delhi Capitals, picked up a crucial wicket in his opening spell.
Gerald Coetzee, who joined the team as David Payne’s replacement, has joined the squad in Jaipur.
When we faced Rajasthan Royals nearly a fortnight ago, our young bowling core drove us to a memorable win, with Ishan Kishan stepping up with the bat. With promise and potential on full display, the team will now strive to continue this excellent run of form.
